If you want to get a taste of what Málaga has to offer, you should definitely start from it's food. More specifically, by trying one of Spain's signature cuisine. Las Tapas.

Before coming to Spain, I had never tried tapas before and if I have to be totally honest with you, I wasn't exactly sure what they actually were in the first place. Las Tapas are not a specific tipe of food, they can be made with a wide variety of different ingredients that can go from meat to fish, from russian salad to grilled shrimps and so on and so forth.
“There is no sincerer love than the love of food.” - George Bernard Shaw
What characterizes the tapa is not only the food it's made with, but also the size of each bite that is usually quite small. That is why the best way to enjoy tapas is to select few pieces, better if totally different from one another, and explore the different flavors.
My personal favourites
The food in the picture above is actually called pincho and it's different from a regular tapa because the ingredients are served on top of a piece o bread. These are the bites I had the last time I went to Casa Lola, starting from the one on the left:
1. Pepito Lola. Iberian cured ham, grilled loin and peppers. Price: 2€
2. Salmón Lola. With gherkins and capers in vinegar, queil eggs and mayonnaise. Price: 2€
3. Matrimonio Lola. Anchovies in vinegar, salted anchovies and special dried tomato. Price: 2,50€
3. Smoked cod. With red peppers mayonnaise and sweet peppers. Price: 2€
Additional choice of tapas:
Patatas bravas: fried potatoes with spicy sauce. Price: 2€

Total cost of the food: 10,50€ plus 2,20€ for the coke
